Heartbreak hill what?!?! Today was my first run up heartbreak hill...I took the train out to the Woodland stop in Newton...and ran the last 9 miles of the course...It felt great...the hills were tough...but manageable...I can't quite imagine them at 20 miles in...but that's what makes Boston so tough...so they say...
It's so amazing to be in Boston training...having the opportunity to run the course prior to marathon Monday...getting to know the hills and surroundings will certainly help...it definitely wont hurt...Today was great for giving me an idea about what I am up against...I will for sure start adding some more hill work into my training schedule...I am certain the marathon will be tough no matter how I prepare...but I want to do everything I can to make it easier!!!
Its Sunday....so it marks the end of another week of training...36 miles logged this week..and yes my legs hurt!!! Another week ahead with a 14 mile finale a week from today...excited to pick out a route...maybe something different...any suggestions let me know!!!
