The feeling of crossing the finish was like nothing I have ever felt before...I have had a ton of accomplishments in my life but nothing has compared to this for me personally...It was both a mental and physical challenge...and not just for the 26.2 but for the entire journey starting in September when I decided to go for it...from fundraising emails to cold and snowy winter runs...I set a challenge and met it head on and it felt amazing to turn down Boylston St. and see the finish in the distance...best feeling ever!!!!
Of course I couldnt have done it without the support of all of you!! Special thanks to Maggie who supported me every day of this journey..I think she is just as exhausted as I am with it all winding down...I honestly could not have done it without her support and I love her sooooo much! I have tons of thanks for all of you...mom and dad who are there no matter what crazy adventure I decide to tackle...and my sisters who continue to be stand by me....I am sooo proud of Jaime for getting in shape to run a mile with me and ended up running 2!!! Bethy for coming down from Maine to show some cousin love...The clowns from UMEC....Ashley who always seems to pull through and offer support...and last but not least KMFJ who flew up from DC to do what best friends do!!!
It doesnt stop there...thanks to all of you from afar...who have been through the whole process supporting me with words of motivation through facebook and firstgiving...I cant thank you guys enough!!!
26.2....done and done!
in the pic of you and ashley . . . there is someone else in there! Tenely roo is standing on the chair next to you two. Not that she's allowed to just stand on chairs, but it's cute she snuck into the picture!
